Summary: I recently read the book, The Vampire Diaries, by L.J Smith. This book talks about a girl named Elena Gilbert who lost her parents in an accident. She lives with her brother Jeremy Gilbert and her aunt, Jenna Gilbert, her mother's sister. Years after the accident, Elena went to school like a normal girl when she saw a new guy named Stefan Salvatore. They fell in love with one another; one thing is not right in Stefan. The book is five stars! I loved the book because it has love, drama and suspense. The book is just awesome! My favorite characters are Elena and Stefan. They are my favorite characters because they are the person who makes the story interesting. I would like to be like Elena, because she is pretty, courageous, knows what she wants, and kind. My favorite part of the story was when Elena and Stefan were dating. My least favorite part was when Elena and Stefan fought; I nearly thought they would break up. I was sobbing. I recommend this book to Nour Awada, Angela Yungu, Iris Gnassou and Dzari Ranjato will love this book, because they love vampire and romance stories, and this is mixed together. I also recommend this book to any girls who love chick- lit and vampire books. They should be around the age of 12- 18. This book has a very mature topic. It is at the good reading level for me, but it depends on how they are capable of reading. Some books like twilight or Evernight are similar as The Vampire Diaries. This book was really easy to rate because when I finished, I knew that I would've give five stars! The book was easy to read, and it is a page turner. This book is awesome! I could read it again.
